Step into Management in the Early Years Sector

This course supports the upskilling of anyone who is in a supervisory and/or management role in the early years sector. This will help you develop some key tools and competencies needed to manage and lead others.

This course takes approx. 6 weeks to complete (dependant on commitment) and is delivered in a variety of ways such as taught workshops virtual sessions, self-study and activity/assessment completion.

Qualification

On successful completion, you will achieve a Level 3 Certificate in Leadership. 

 

Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management

This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes.

To achieve this qualification you must complete two units:

  • Principles of Management and LeadershipThis unit focuses on effective management and leadership approaches and the ways organisations operate.
  • Managing a Team to Achieve Results - This unit has been developed to support managers in understanding the nature of teams in the workplace, and how these can be managed to achieve results.

 

 

Attendance

Mandatory

  • 6 half-day tutor-led workshops (1 per week)
  • 4 hours of self-study per week to complete assignments and research

Optional

  • 6 half-day drop-in sessions are available for extra support (1 per week)
