
Leon Williams, a 24-year-old Apprentice Technician at PVS Group Limited in Stockport, has been highly commended in the Shining Star of the Year category at the prestigious GM Skills Awards 2025.
Balancing full-time work, study and fatherhood, Leon has shown exceptional determination in the face of personal adversity. Despite significant challenges over the past year, he has continued to excel in his Level 2 Automotive Apprenticeship with GC Education & Skills, part of the Growth Company, one of the largest providers of work-based learning in Greater Manchester.
Leon’s tutors describe him as a role model in the classroom, consistently producing high-quality work, supporting his peers and inspiring younger learners with his leadership and positivity.
