Skills Bootcamps prioritise digital skills for adults

The Growth Company Education and Skills are delighted to be working in partnership with Code Nation, Intequal and Generation to deliver the flagship Skills Bootcamps in Digital Skills. Developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs commitment, in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

GC Education and Skills and partners will be delivering a suite Skills Bootcamps in Digital Skills including:

  • Skills Bootcamp in Software Development
  • Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics
  • Skills Bootcamp in Data Engineering

Jon Paul-Rimington, Managing Director of GC Education and Skills commented; “We welcome the news that we have been successful in our bid to work in partnership with Intequal, Code Nation and Generation to deliver Skills Bootcamps in Digital Skills in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. We have over 30 years’ experience in education and training and we are excited to provide adults with essential digital skills and support them into new job roles and to access to new work opportunities for those self-employed.”

Data Engineers are highly in-demand across Greater Manchester, and there's just not enough of them.
