Students Celebrate Graduation Success at Bolton Town Hall

07 Aug 2026

Students, staff and families came together at Bolton Town Hall on 14 July to celebrate the achievements of graduates completing higher education programmes with the Growth Company Education & Skills.

Students graduated across a range of programmes, marking a significant milestone in their academic and professional journeys.

The ceremony recognised graduates from:

  • BA (Hons) Education and Learning
  • BA (Hons) Education and Learning (Early Years) (Top-Up, Part-Time)
  • BA Honours Education and Learning Level 6 Top-Up
  • BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care (Top-Up)
  • BSc (Hons) Business Management (Full-Time)
  • Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) 14+
  • Foundation Degree Early Years Childhood Studies
  • Foundation Degree in Healthcare Studies
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE 14+)

The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of learners who successfully balanced their studies alongside professional and personal commitments, with many studying through flexible routes designed to fit around their lives.

Among those recognised was Rebecca Winship, who was awarded the Vice Chancellor's Prize in recognition of her resilience and determination throughout her studies. Rebecca overcame a serious illness while completing her programme, working hard to catch up with her studies and graduating alongside the rest of her cohort. Her efforts were further recognised when she achieved an overall distinction.

The graduation ceremony also marked a significant achievement for the Growth Company Education & Skills, with seven colleagues graduating from teaching qualifications, including three Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) graduates and four Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) graduates.

The Growth Company Education & Skills offers a range of higher education programmes designed to help learners develop the knowledge, skills and qualifications needed to progress their careers. Courses are available through both full-time and part-time study routes, providing flexible options for learners at different stages of their professional journey.

Applications are now open for September starts across a range of higher education programmes. Find out more about available courses and how to apply here.
