Skills Bootcamps
The Growth Company Education and Skills are delighted to announce that we will deliver a series of brand-new Skills Bootcamps from Spring 2023. The new Skills Bootcamps follow the successful delivery of our initial launch last year in which we delivered Skills Bootcamps in Digital, Construction and Green Skills.
This training has been made possible and is free to individuals thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding for Skills Bootcamps, forming part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and funded through the Department of Education’s National Skills Fund.

Professional
Developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, Skills Bootcamps are being delivered in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people gain skills for life, help support skills demands in their local area, and ultimately – to help people get a better job.
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to a guaranteed interview with a local employer.

We are excited to work with our partners to provide adults with skills to support them into new job roles and to access to new work opportunities for those self-employed.”
Our Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for anyone aged 19+ who are:
- Employed either full-time or part-time
- Unemployed
- Self-employed
- A serving prisoner due to be released within 6 months of completion of a Skills Bootcamp and those on temporary release

You can only complete one of Skills Bootcamps per funding year (1st April to 31st March) and must not be on more than one Skills Bootcamp at any one time.
Skills Bootcamps can provide you with the opportunity to build sector specific skills that could potentially lead straight to employment. As once the training has been completed, you'll fast track to a guaranteed interview with a local employer. The Bootcamps aim to upskill adults from diverse groups and help employers to bridge the skills gap.
