At Stockport Skills Centre, we offer an excellent opportunity for learners to achieve their goals and progress into further education or employment. We provide a warm and friendly learning environment with a well-stocked kitchen where learners can help themselves to breakfast and snacks throughout the day.

Learners have access to a full-time Keyworker and an Inclusion Coordinator to support their wellbeing and personal development.

Located in Stockport town centre, our site offers easy access to public transport and local shops. The Centre provides high-quality, tailored education programmes designed to meet each learner’s individual needs.

  • English Functional Skills Entry Level 3 to Level 2

When can I enrol?

We have three enrolment dates each academic year in September, November and January.

Who can join Stockport Skills Centre?

Our programmes are for young people aged 16 to 19, or up to 24 for those with an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Do I need any qualifications to apply?

No formal entry requirements are needed.

Is work experience available?

Yes, learners can take part in work experience to help build confidence and develop practical skills for employment.

What are the progression routes after completing a programme?

Learners can progress to further education, employment, training or apprenticeships depending on their chosen pathway.

 

What is the learning environment like?

Our Stockport Centre offers a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere with small class sizes and personalised support to help each learner succeed.
