About this opportunity

The Aon Apprenticeship has been designed to identify and develop the future stars of our business.

Few things are certain in life. Economic upheaval, political crises, natural disasters – and plenty more besides – all mean the world can be full of surprises. At Aon, we draw on the expertise of 65,000 people to help the biggest names in business plan for every eventuality. We are the world’s #1 insurance broker, #1 provider of reinsurance, and #1 in human resource consulting. Our size, global network and emphasis on innovation mean where we lead, the industry follows.

We’ve recently moved our global headquarters to the UK. Here, we have 6,500 employees in 30 offices who we rely on to uphold our hard-won reputation for excellence, insight and outstanding service delivery. It’s the skills, knowledge and attitude of our people that helps us do what we do best.

Aon’s insurance and risk management team helps organisations to identify the risks they face and ensures they are provided with the best possible cover for their needs, so that in the event of major catastrophes, they can keep going and people can get on with their lives.

The Aon Apprenticeship role is focused on client service administration. You will be supporting more senior members of our team in their broking and client management activities. Everything we do at Aon is built around delivering client value.

Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of all client facing transactional service activities
• Assist in the day to day running of client risk and insurance programmes
• Contribute pro-actively to client satisfaction, retention and profitability
• Carry out administrative tasks to contribute to the broking process
• Actively increase technical knowledge, understanding of client needs and the broking process
• Maintain management information e.g. by inputting into relevant databases

Personal Qualities

We’re looking for people with a hunger to learn and take responsibility at an early stage of your career.

Skills

We’re looking for people with excellent verbal and written communication skills who understand the value of customer service. You will also need to have a basic understanding of the insurance world and be able to demonstrate your team work and planning and organisational skills.
