Apprentice Machining Engineer

About this opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to practically develop your engineering knowledge and abilities working with highly skilled experienced Engineers in all areas of this business.

As an Apprentice Engineer you would initially work with all shop floor departments to develop a sound knowledge of the full range of company products and manufacturing processes. This is a primarily machine based role producing finished components to drawings in support of manufacturing orders.

Your aim will be to continually improve your engineering knowledge and develop your practical hands on skills to machine components efficiently and accurately to drawings. You will use a range of different machines to produce complete components, following a specific trade path as a skilled Turner, Grinder or Miller.

Your continual progression will be supported throughout your apprenticeship working with highly skilled experienced engineers to become a fully contributing member of the team.

A desire to work in a shopfloor hands on practical role is the essential requirement of this apprenticeship and wanting to achieve skilled status as a Time served engineer.

What you should have to apply

Good GCSE achievements minimum grade C in Maths and English.
Science/engineering/IT are also desirable.
