At its core are work preparation training, English and Maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.

This Traineeship Opportunity is unwaged.

There will be two Traineeships available:
1. Students with A-C in Maths that will be fast tracked through an 8 week training and development course in a McDonalds branch 4 days a week with a day in one of our Training Centres. All of those who successfully complete the 8 weeks will automatically have an interview for employment with McDonalds.
2. Students without an A-C in Maths and English who will undertake the same training and development in a branch of McDonalds with Maths and English taking place in one of our Training Centres. The length of this Traineeship with be determined on an individual basis.

Some further information:
Trainees will only be working Monday to Friday during their Traineeship.
All students will work a maximum of 6 hours a day whilst on their Traineeship.
All students will be provided with full McDonalds uniform, apart from shoes.
Students will be paid a training allowance for the duration of the Traineeship.

Good customer service skills are integral to the way we do things here at McDonald's. You'll be expected to provide our customers with a quick and accurate service and show sensitivity to their individual needs, both from behind the till as well as in the dining areas.

Food preparation and cooking the wide variety of food we offer involves using a broad range of equipment and tools. You'll need to produce orders to a consistently high standard and understand that quality control is vital.

Cleanliness and hygiene requires thorough training in order to maintain our high standards. Before you start, you'll learn to use a variety of cleaning utensils and chemical cleaning products along with the correct protective equipment.

Customer Care Assistants have the important job of ensuring that our customers visit to McDonald’s is an enjoyable one. You’ll be responsible for looking after our customers in the dining areas, making sure that they are dining in a clean and welcoming environment.

Good customer service skills are integral to the way we do things here at McDonald's. You'll be expected to provide our customers with a friendly and personal service. Anticipate the customer’s requirements and be sensitive to any individual needs. We will be looking for your own drive and natural abilities to engage with new and regular customers and make them feel welcome.

We have a variety of customers at McDonald’s and you’ll need to be comfortable interacting with people of all ages and needs.
