A normal day would include
The main duties within the Warehouse department include:
Goods Inwards – receiving goods, checking them, booking in and putting away.
Picking goods for dispatch.
Packing goods.
Wrapping goods for collection by carrier system.
Basic computer work for recording of goods.
All manual movement of goods- no heavy lifting of goods.
Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
The successful Apprentice Warehouse person will work with the existing experienced team to learn and develop their skills. They will gain knowledge of receiving goods, picking and packing goods, stock control and dispatch through a Carrier system. The role is critical in supporting the success of the business by ensuring the correct goods are moved in an accurate and timely manner.

How you will be supported
Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company in conjunction with the experienced on site team in the business. The Warehouse Manager is fully committed to full training ensuring a wide variety of tasks are part of the learning experience.
