Apprentice Operations Engineer

About this opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, focused individual to become a key member of the Service Team, working with and learning from experienced engineers in the renewable energy sector.

Undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on MWM Gas Powered Engine Generators capable of producing between 400kWe to 10MWe each.

Assist in fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems and implement the diagnosed rectification work necessary to fix and clear the fault.

Assist and take on an active role with our dedicated Operations Engineers, carrying out essential tasks associated with monitoring and recording various parameters to ensure correct operation of the installation.

Learn how to use and interpret the information on the engine control systems (TEM – Total Electronic Management, TPEM – Total Plant and Energy Management, ComAp), and what parameters control various actions.

Assist and take on an active role in full engine strip downs and rebuilds with our dedicated Engine Rebuild Division.

Assist and take on an active role in commissioning and setting up new installations with the Commissioning Department.

Assist and take on an active role in electrical fault finding and electrical installation work with our dedicated Electrical Engineers.

Opportunity at the end of the apprenticeship to join Edina as an Operations Engineer, Rebuild Engineer or Commissioning Engineer in a rapidly growing and dynamic industry. With this role would come a company van, laptop, mobile phone and a competitive salary + overtime + other benefits.
