About this opportunity

Peak Education are looking for an enthusiastic and aspiring Administrator to join the team at our Cannock Education Facility. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our small office team and will assist with day-to-day administration.

A normal day would include:

• Writing and dispatching professional letters and emails
• Answering the telephone, taking accurate messages and taking responsibility for following up on enquiries and queries
• Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
• To work within the framework of Peak Education policies and procedure
• Inputting confidential information to the schools Management Information System and maintaining accurate daily records
• Liaise with and support parents and other family members
• To be constantly aware of the security and safety of the children
• Processing purchase orders, obtaining quotes, placing orders with suppliers, accepting deliveries and ensuring that accurate records are kept and purchasing procedures are followed
• Support the day-to-day control of the purchase order database to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
• Managing stock levels of stationary, cleaning and office-based supplies, and re-ordering when necessary
• Inputting confidential information to the schools Management Information System and maintaining accurate daily records
• Supporting the Petty Cash administration system and keeping records of payments and issuing receipts
• Inputting data to the school’s financial management systems, providing reports and taking responsibility for regular financial tasks
• Take part in regular performance management in line with the school performance management systems
• Keep up to date with current educational thinking/best practice through self-directed reading, courses and in-service training identified by the school or as an outcome of performance management
• Undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties in accordance with the changing needs of the school
• Ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation
• Ensuring that child protection and safeguarding procedures are prioritised at all times
• Attend out of working hours activities, e.g., training, staff briefing, staff meetings, parents evenings, summer fair, Christmas party, etc
• Flexible within working practices of school, being prepared to help where needed, including working with the school staff to care for the children
• Respect the confidentiality of information received and adhere to the school’s Confidentiality Policy and ICT Policy at all times
• Be aware of the high profile of the school with the local and wider community and to uphold its standards at all times
