Our aim is to provide you with a full overview of the business. We therefore want to ensure you gain experience of our 4 core areas which are Buying, Sales Account Management, Customer Service and Warehouse and Logistics so you will spend 4 months of your apprenticeship in each area. You will work with our professional sales support team in the Shipping Division whilst working across the core areas for an exciting apprenticeship experience.
Some of your duties will include:
• Order processing and administration, including account opening forms, order entry and progressing, and assisting with stock management and stock control.
• Shipping – Import and Export Tracking & Management.
• Liaising with Customers and Suppliers daily.
• Supporting Warehouse with Booking In & Out issues.
• Sales support for Account Managers.
• Basic quote writing/administration and conversion of orders
• Price list administration & conversion.
• Updating system/product information and new contacts.
• Answering incoming calls, dealing with pricing enquiries, and transferring calls
• Progressing enquiries from customers to progress to a quote
• Chase quotes to confirm details, obtaining the orders from customers
