About this opportunity

Broderick Group Limited have a great opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join their Service team as Vending Engineer Apprentice.

You will work closely with our PDI (pre-delivery inspections), Installations and Field Service teams. You will learn:

• How to identify issues
• Troubleshoot
• Repair them and replace parts
• You will receive training with us and at the manufacturers (this will be certified)

We have a wide range of vending and coffee machines. We operate on a unique and bespoken sector which requires for our engineers to have knowledge and understanding of different field of engineering, such as electrical, electronic and mechanical. You will also learn IT and programming skills to installs, configure, set-up and monitor our cloud-based telemetry and contactless payment systems and perform firmware updates.

Our machines also work with digital media features and you will learn their different formats in order to set up tailored/customised advertisements, videos and prices.

On your final level, you will also receive training on boiler inspections to maintain and inspect our table-top and traditional coffee machines.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to become a either PDI and Installations Engineer or Field Service Engineer / Vending Engineer.

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.

What you should have to apply

• 4 GCSEs with a minimum of Grade C/4 in Maths and English

• Tool skills and sense/interest of working things out (this will be the base for you to develop strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills)
• Good communication skills and ability to provide good customer service

• Basic knowledge and understanding of electronics
• Some experience in plumbing and electrical safety will be advantageous
• Able to drive or very close to get a driving license
