About the apprenticeship
As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with The Growth Group, where you will complete a level 3 Workplace Pensions Apprenticeship which is within the Financial Services sector and you will gain a level 3 Workplace Pensions qualification.
For this apprenticeship, you will work at the University of Oxford’s Central Finance Division in Central Oxford. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to study online with The Growth Group.
In total, it will take approximately 18 months to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and College throughout.

Responsibilities (This section tries to give you a feel of what your day-to-day activities at work will be. This is just the basics, there will be more as your training progresses)
• Learn to respond to straightforward enquiries, providing advice on pensions financial procedures and policies, referring to the Pensions Officer where necessary
• Assist with processing pension contributions on a monthly basis
• Responsible for the preparation of invoices for payment
• Process invoices in the Oracle Financial system and deal with anomalies, escalating complex queries to the most appropriate person
• Learn to maintain databases and update records, checking figures for errors and omissions.
• Ensure all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with the University and external financial regulations
• Maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders
• Assist with providing wide-ranging administrative support for the Pensions Office
