Positive Steps are looking for an ICT Technician Apprentice to assist in the delivery of a quality service to through proactively assisting the work of the ICT Team. This is a first-class opportunity for the right person.
A normal day would include:
• Assist with the support of the efficient and effective deployment of all technology-based resources under Positive Steps control throughout the geographic operating base
• To assist with the provision of on-going support for all users in their use of the Positive Steps’ ICT services
• Assist in the provision of a range of support services for operational systems and staff using those systems
• Assist with maintenance of prescribed daily backup routines ensuring successful completion by documenting and resolving or escalating backup failure
• Assist with undertaking daily checks on essential systems and services, and maintain daily logs on all services
• Assist in visiting a range of sites to solve problems with any of the company’s ICT equipment or that of external customers
• Assist with installation and maintenance of ICT software and hardware, ensuring it is free from viruses and illegal software
• Assist with maintaining an accurate record of the company’s ICT inventory and details of all ICT equipment purchased
• Demonstrate responsibility in promoting and championing all aspects of equal opportunities by valuing diversity in all areas of work
• Take responsibility for ensuring and achieving the objectives of the Positive Steps Health and Safety Policy
• Undertake any other duties in order to meet personal, team and organisational objectives following consultation with your manager
