Handrail Creations Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic Junior Solidworks Designer to work full time on a range of CAD projects – using the Solidworks design package to develop 3D models and drawings.
Due to further growth, Handrail Creations Ltd are now looking for a talented person who has a passion for manufacturing/engineering to join their team as a Junior Solidworks Designer
The role will require monthly travel around the UK to various construction sites and customer premises/homes to carry out digital surveys, which will be used as the underlying geometry for the CAD models. Therefore, a driving license is essential – vehicle will be provided.
Day to day activities
• Producing accurate 3D Solid & Surface Models using Solidworks packages
• Understanding customer drawings and 3D models
• Understanding drawings, real time renders and supporting the manufacturing team with BOMs
• Model complex curved staircases and bespoke wooden handrails
• Understanding, measuring and drawing a wide range of tooling
• Management and timekeeping of own work
• Collaborating with design team and production team to keep up with production schedule
In return we will train you as part of this specialist small team, allowing you to work on some of the biggest & best construction projects throughout the UK – from Billionaire’s mansions to the Houses of Parliament.
