This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in metal working. You would be working within the fabrication area of our switchgear division with the support of the operations manager and can develop your skills.
You will be supported by and will work alongside experienced operators learning skills by doing the work.
The success of our apprentices relies heavily on your commitment and willingness to become a participant, not just an observer.
The products we make go into critical electrical systems in the UK and overseas.
It is very rewarding to see our products leave the building knowing everyone has played a key part to produce it.
PBSI (or P&B) have been advocates of the apprenticeship route for many years and several of our current employees joined us as apprentices and have progressed to a variety of different functions within the business.
We will review the progression of the apprentice every 6 months.
Role involves: -
• Learning sheet metal processes
• Working with a workshop environment
• Machine setup and operations
• Working within a highly skilled team
• Working within the assembly area to build the final product
