Cranswick Foods are looking for an eager candidate to join us as an IT apprentice. From our state of the art site in Bury you will assist the team in its mission to bring wonderful continental foods to their UK customers.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide support to all company IT users
• Maintain and support operation of all company software, equipment and services
• Assist with basic support of telephone system and mobile phone provision
• Keep IT team informed at all times of issues and schedules
• Regular checks on systems to maintain efficiency
• Brief users on system changes and new features
• To work outside normal working hours if required
You'll also have to attend training courses as and when required.

• GCSE Maths and English grade A*-C/9-4
• 5 GCSEs in any other subjects grade A*-C/9-4
• Personable
• Well organised
• Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Outgoing personality with interest in developing IT skills
• Good knowledge of operating systems and Microsoft Office
• Keep updated on hardware/software upgrades of benefit to the business
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good level of communication by writing, email, phone and direct contact with people
• College level education on core IT skill sets, including core Microsoft skills
As part of the IT team responsible to ensure that the IT systems function smoothly, securely, reliably and efficiently to support staff and students across the curriculum and administrative networks throughout the trust.
