Thomas Neale manufactures contract quality bed linens, bath linens and fire retardant textiles for all types of residential accommodation from student halls of residence, sleeper trains to prisons, healthcare and many other sectors.
Daily Duties will Include
Picking, packing and despatch of orders
Goods to be packaged / reworked to minimise space used and re – utilise packaging materials where possible including all polybags and cardboard boxes. Where this is not possible with cardboard – to be placed in blue cage by warehouse door. Sensible packing methodolgy to be used proportional to nature of goods to be despatched.
Goods recepit
Goods to be checked off against delivery note and verified. Delivery note to be handed in to warehouse office – orders released accordingly.
Reach truck operation and upkeep
Sensible use of truck encouraged – only where necessary, not in place of manual solutions avaliable (eg. Hand trucks). Regular maintenance and checks to be carried out to ensure economical running.
Warehouse upkeep and maintenance
Space consolidation to ensure maximum cost benefit per square foot of warehouse space. General cleanliness, reuse of materials and pallets etc.
Inter-warehouse transfers
Between main warehouse and arch – maximise vehicle loads and ensure full stock levels at both locations where necessary
Local deliveries where necessary –
Within local area for small consignments to minimise carbon footprint (avoid transport / hub networks where job can be done in house).
How you will be supported
Full training and support will be provided by our well experienced staff and assessment staff at The Growth Company. A comprehensive training program has been developed by The PP Group of Companies where you will be learning to operate the machinery relevant to your role.
