A normal day would include:
• Ensure that all data records are accurately updated and maintained as required by legislative bodies such as HMRC, Audit authorities, DWP and the NHS Pensions Agency, enabling standardised structure and service delivery for all employees as required legally and as defined in the service level agreements
• Action information/data provided by clients in verbal, written or faxed form, in accordance with Service Level Agreements, facilitating the provision of a seamless service
• Liaison with external agencies: HMRC, DWP, Insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions involved with the pensions industry, on matters pertaining to employee pensions, ensuring that prior client consent (when appropriate) and client confidentiality are maintained and are legally compliant
• Provide confidential advice and guidance on NHS pension regulations to Managers, staff and Human Resource Departments, facilitating a standardised approach to communication, purpose and function of pensions within the wider framework of the NHS.
• Delivery of an efficient and co-ordinated service in line with the prescribed Service Level Agreements and legislative requirements
• Completion of all necessary data tasks via the NHS Pensions Agency computerised system to facilitate the maintenance and data integrity for all pensionable staff and to ensure that any information that has not interfaced correctly to POL via ESR is completed
