An amazing opportunity is available at Saica. Working with experienced mentors and technicians working in an advanced technological facility, skill sets gained during apprenticeship include Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and Mechatronic.
A normal day would include:
Working to a high standard on a vast range of paper manufacturing and power generation equipment, including:
• Pump systems
• Agitators
• Gear units and motors
• Precision alignment of drive systems
• General maintenance activities on plant
• Also completing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks, following standard operating procedures to complete a variety of mechanical tasks
What you could go on to do: successful candidates will qualify as mechanical technicians and can progress to engineers within the industry
How you will be supported: all Mechanical apprentices are fully supported with an appointed mentor during their apprenticeship including fully funded training
