Traineeship as a Brewery Assistant with Seven Bro7hers Brewery in Salford.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the popular microbrewery, based at Salford Quays, that has secured a regional listing with Tesco and opened their first bar in the summer of 2015. Run by seven Salford brothers Keith, Kit, Guy, Luke, Dan, Nathan and Greg McAvoy. The company distribute across the country as far north as Aberdeen and as far south as Cornwall, as well as Ireland and Scandinavia and aim to change the demographic, targeting 25-35-year-old males and females. The beer is Made and distributed from their Salford base.
Key tasks: Support the role of the head brewer undertaking such tasks as: Cleaning the casks Filling the casks Taking care of the warehouse- general duties, such as keeping the floor space clear and free from slips, trips and hazards as per instructions, on brewing days- assisting with the brewing processes-under supervision. Taking responsibility for deliveries, loading / unloading grain and supplies, checking orders with suppliers and ensuring the correct details are delivered

The number of days per week the traineeship will last is yet to be confirmed however your time will be split between the work place and training centre.
After successful completion of the Traineeship course, you will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of reference as a minimum, to support future job applications.

Essential:
Ability to work in a physically demanding role in a brewery / warehouse environment.
Some manual lifting involved- (training will be provided on induction)

The Brothers have two family pet dogs that are friendly and wander freely around the brewery yard and warehouse. Murphy is hypoallergenic however Marley is a border collie.
The candidates must be comfortable around dogs and preferably not suffer allergies.
Desirable:
Maths, English and science grade C- not essential but may help the applicant (however the brothers wish to stress that all applicants will be viewed upon merit, they will consider all applicants and take a number of qualities into consideration)
