The Operations Team are responsible for ensuring all our trades settle accurately and on time across the world, 24 hours a day. As a part of our Apprenticeship programme you will be studying towards a Level 3 Investment Operations Certificate.

Overview of the Operations Control Team:

The Operations Control team is a segregated independent control function that ensures that Transaction Processing and Clearing & Settlement Services execute appropriate control to mitigate all regulatory and operational risks. It has overall responsibility for building level 1 controls that are fit for purposes and relevant for the processes they support. An integral part of the Control function is the Regulatory control team that was formed in September 2015 to establish the processes and controls required for the bank to meet its regulatory reporting and trader surveillance responsibilities. The department is staffed with experienced personnel, who have performed several roles in Operations and who have extensive product and operational process knowledge. The team members are encouraged to challenge processes and to work in partnership with other functions to enable the execution of a robust control framework across Operations

Your responsibilities will include a combination of day to day control responsibilities and involvement in one or more of the department’s key change projects. In addition, you will be required to critically review and challenge existing process and design and implement enhancements which will increase our levels of control resilience. Part of your role will require you to review and update the various documentation and supporting documents within the control function.
