Apprentice Nursery Nurse

About this opportunity

This is a really great opportunity to start a career in childcare with the friendly and supportive team at Happy Feet Day Nursery based in Salford. This role would be suited to a motivated and committed person who is willing to work hard.

A normal day would include:
• Contributing to the high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery
• Supporting other staff within the nursery
• Helping to implement the daily routine in the base room
• Contributing to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff
• Keeping records of achievement on file for parents
• Supporting all staff and engage in a good staff team
• Liaising with and supporting parents and other family members
• Assisting at snack and mealtimes
• Attending staff meetings and training
• General cleaning of play areas/cleansing of toys and equipment

Happy Feet may require the successful candidate to complete a traineeship before starting the apprenticeship.

What you could go on to do:
You could progress onto a level 3 childcare apprenticeship.
