About this opportunity

The Marketing Assistant Apprentice role will assist the Marketing team with the development, delivery and evaluation of marketing plans that promote Manchester as a key destination for business and leisure tourism, investment and growth.

Ensuring all published marketing material is up-to-date, including, compiling and publishing partner offers on national/regional websites
To provide support across the Marketing team in the delivery of familiarisation visits including attending where appropriate, follow up evaluation and monitoring of in-kind support.
Respond to enquiries received from partners, stakeholders and members of the public by telephone, email or face to face, providing the correct information in a timely polite manner
Collation of key statistic (web stats, partner engagement, campaign reach etc) that input into evaluation plans
Assist with the planning and coordinating the distribution of promotional material
Liaison with partners and appropriate Marketing Manchester departments, to facilitate sharing of information to support delivery objectives.
Pre-event preparation, supporting the delivery of events including post event breakdown
Participate in the agreed supporting academic programme, including attendance at formal learning sessions and completion of associated assessments.

What you should have to apply

A Level qualified to Grade A - C, 5 GCSE's incl Maths, English and ICT
Experience of working in an office or customer facing environment would be an advantage
An understanding of marketing and communications.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
An enthusiastic individual with a passion to develop a career in marketing, must be highly motivated and results orientated
