The primary purpose of the role is to provide the opportunities and experiences for the right individual to grow and develop into an experienced production operative working in a highly specialised area of production.
Job Purpose:
To produce the correct fragrance compounds on time to meet customer demand and the required Health & Safety and quality standards.
Ensures Health & Safety, Quality, regulatory and good manufacturing standards are maintained and continuously improved.
Responsible for maximising the efficiency of the fragrance compounding processes achieving plan and leading the team to maximise the output of the factory hour by hour on their shift.
Identify, rectify and report any issues that prevent factory performance
A normal day-week would include:
The role rotates around 5 key processes: -
Goods in receipting raw material deliveries into a factory execution system, sampling and FLT movement thereof.
Management of key raw materials.
Process of blending materials via a recipe to a preset tolerance.
Weights and measures are critical – so attention to detail paramount here.
FLT movements of raw materials and finished goods round the factory.
Critical role to ensure production volumes are times are maintained.
Operation of automated dispensing machine into drums (vanwik) through management of 5 production vessels.
Ensuring materials are available for the blenders as required.
Goods out processes include picking to customer orders, and dispatching through the factory execution system.
Requirement to understand dangerous goods and the correct packaging and labelling.
Working with planning team and customer services teams to highlight any issues and working toward solutions.

Maths and English A-C GCSE are desirable

Qualifications:
A good level of secondary education

A technical qualification would be beneficial
Support will be given to undertake an apprenticeship
Technical Experience:
Technical training or Experience in a technical production environment
Proven ability to work with accuracy and show attention to detail is essential to this role
Working closely with existing highly trained staff to learn and develop your skills and gain knowledge of machine cutting operations, Edging, spraying and laminating across the manufacturing processes.
