A normal day would include
The overall objective of the role is to gain an in-depth knowledge of the components supplied in order to tailor and modify to customer’s requirements. You will learn about the large range of products and take an interest in how they are used as part of their supply to the industry
• Receiving and checking incoming materials
• Transferring materials
• Fault diagnosis and identification of appropriate corrective action to resolve the problem
• Preparing for manufacturing operations
• Using lathes
• Producing by assembly operations
• Finishing products
• Analysing the results of inspection and confirming quality of production
• Carrying out inspection and testing activities
• Contributing to improving effectiveness in the workplace

• Sourcing parts
• Learning about the products and services
• Building and modifying component parts
• Occasionally working on the Trade counter and dealing with customers, suppliers and delivery people in a polite and helpful manner.
