About this opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice HR Support person to join KeolisAmey Metrolink as part of the HR team. HR are a people focussed function and are responsible for all people related activities.

A normal day would include:

An office-based role, you will become an integral part of the HR Team, supporting them in dealing with the administration of multiple processes. Key responsibilities within the role could include:

• Answering employee questions
• Processing incoming mail
• Creating and distributing documents
• Providing customer service to organization employees
• Serving as a point of contact
• Maintaining computer systems by updating and entering data
• Setting appointments and arranging meetings
• Maintaining calendars of HR management team
• Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets
• Filing documents
• Supporting the HR team in any HR related activity

You will also be:
• Learning and developing Skills in areas related to HR and administration
• Your continuous aim will be to develop your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship.
• The ability to work safely and effectively in a time constrained environment is an essential requirement of the apprenticeship.
• Successful applicants progressing to the later stages of the selection process will have the opportunity to discuss the potential work they can get involved in with members of the HR team.
• Working correctly at all times to the company Environmental, ISO quality and H&S procedures.
• Producing and maintaining accurate records in accordance with role requirements.
• Demonstrating continual commitment to develop your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship

What you could go on to do
This role is initially focussed on providing the administrative support to the HR team, but could lead into a career in HR. It could also lead into business administration roles within the business in other teams.

What you should have to apply

• The successful candidate will have achieved GCSE minimum Grade C (4) in Maths, English, Science, I.T.
