Opportunities for licenced Security Officers who can demonstrate and deliver high-quality security and act as a visual deterrent for our customers, while working to complete an apprenticeship as a Customer Services Practitioner

A normal day would include:
As a static officer, you would be a member of the security team responsible for securing the prestigious Manchester Town Hall premises and responding to emergencies, helping to identify and prevent criminal activity and civil unrest.

On site duties include
• Providing excellent customer service to all colleagues and OTH patrons, developing key relationships
• Acting as first point of site contact for incoming and outgoing queries/calls
• Maintenance and operation of site access and egress monitoring database to ensure a secure environment
• Liaising with a wide range of clients, contractors and visiting patrons to the site
• Communicate effectively within your team to prioritise tasks and ensure complete site cover on a daily basis
• Coordinating off-job study to fulfil course requirements
• Securing premises and personnel by patrolling property; equipment, and access points; permitting entry to authorised personnel only
• Prevent loss and damage to client sites by reporting irregularities
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard, reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty.
• Ensure risk assessment and assignment instructions are always followed to meet the customer requirements
• Liaise with customers, staff, and visitors in a professional manner and act as a representative of the company with professional integrity

The successful applicant will also need to complete an SIA course. The details of this will be confirmed by the employer.

What you should have to apply

• Security experience would be beneficial but not compulsory, as full training is provided
