About this opportunity

A fantastic role for a dog lover to work in a small but fast-growing luxury dog bedding company and gain valuable experience in delivering exceptional levels of customer service.

The Dispatch Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that Charley Chau customers receive their orders on time and in fabulous condition wherever they are in the world, and ensure that customers receive timely and effective communication on the status of their orders.

There is also an opportunity within this role to develop face-to-face sales experience on the Charley Chau show stand at prestigious shows and events around the UK.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about dogs, self-motivated, and keen to deliver exceptional customer service at the luxury end of the online retail sector.

Main duties:
Processing customer orders: monitor online sales channels for incoming orders, booking parcels, assembling orders, quality control checks, packing, final dispatch
Communicating with customers in a timely and appropriate manner about their orders
Processing returns for exchange / refund.

What you should have to apply

GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at Grade C or above.

Passionate about dogs - happy to work in an office shared with dogs
A people person - friendly, open, positive and helpful
Ambitious self-starter who wants to learn and do well
Pro-active in finding solutions to problems
Mature and professional.

Skills

Organisational skills - must be able to organise own work and carry it out efficiently and effectively
Attention to detail - an essential skill to ensure that exceptional levels of customer service are delivered and maintained
Multi-tasking - able to manage multiple activities in parallel
English - written and oral language must be of a high standard. A good command of English grammar is particularly important in written communication.
Computer skills - comfortable with using a Windows PC and general familiarity with using online systems.
