The Unity Partnership’s payroll and HR team is responsible for serving employment support including payroll to over 11,000 employees across Oldham council and other customers every month.
The successful candidate will (amongst other things) receive an excellent grounding into process and management techniques in a fast paced, busy HR service, with an insight in to both public and private sector provision. The work will include using various PC applications, including the payroll solution; dealing with administrative and support activities to the various sections; answering some basic telephone and email enquiries; and, loading data.
A normal day would include
Maintaining an accurate computerised information systems by inputting, updating and extracting data
Loading of spreadsheet data to payroll with the associated checking, recording and monitoring
Supporting with photocopying, printing, filing, scanning, enveloping and faxing
Operating office equipment (e.g. photocopier, computer, etc)
Taking and directing calls from customers
Contributing to the overall ethos/work/aims of the business
Maintaining employee files, ensuring the employee information is up to date on all systems in required timescale.
