The successful candidate will be working alongside experienced staff in the Warehouse Department. The successful Apprentice will work with the existing experienced team to learn and develop their skills and gain knowledge of receiving goods, stock control and despatch. The role is critical in supporting the whole team and ensuring goods are moved in an accurate and timely manner. Desser & Co require flexibility in the job role, combining warehousing with other duties.

A normal day would include

Unloading delivery vehicles
Wrapping furniture for deliveries
Packing furniture for deliveries
Loading delivery vehicles
Availability to work on the assembly lines
Manual lifting
Understanding instructions
Must be able to read product labels accurately
Keeping work areas clean and tidy

This role offers ‘old fashioned warehousing’ with a degree of security leading to a permanent position in the Company for a person that has a good work ethic and uses initiative.

Progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Warehousing and Storage Level 3
Learn other aspects of the business

How you will be supported

Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company in conjunction with the experienced on site team in the Department.
