DRM Industrial Fabrics has an exciting opportunity for an apprentice who is highly computer literate with advanced excel skills to work in stock control with colleagues in this leading manufacturing company.
A normal day would include:
•Ensuring goods are clearly marked, stored, accessible and traceable through the system
•Run weekly stock checks of raw materials/goods requested by purchasing
•Loading and unloading of vehicles either manually or with the help of unloading equipment
•Handing out raw materials to the production team in the order requested by the supervisor
•Immediately reporting any shortages of stock or faulty materials
•Despatching of goods/raw materials following daily pick list and short notice requests by either taking packed and passed goods boxed by the inspection team or taking goods from stock and packing yourself
•Including all other duties involved to ensure the goods leaving DRM are on time and correct
•Booking deliveries onto the courier’s system and printing off delivery labels
•Follow health and safety procedures
•Basic maintenance and regular checks to ensure all stores equipment is in good working order
•Keeping the delivery yard clear and accessible to delivery vehicles
•Supporting the production team in any other tasks that arise

C/4 or above in GCSE in information technology
EDCL computer qualification is desirable
A – C/4 – 9 GCSE grades in maths and English
