About this opportunity

This role will be working with a busy warehouse environment. You will ensure that stock is unloaded for storage, sorted, packaged and wrapped for daily collections by the courier and delivery transport. Fork Lift Truck training will be provided.

A normal day would include:
Using warehouse equipment including counter balance and reach fork lift
Unloading vehicles
Checking goods meet the required specification
Booking in at the point of delivery
Storing correctly
Picking goods for customer orders
Repacking for dispatch
Wrapping and labeling goods
Preparing for postal or transport deliveries
Ensuring the goods leaving the premises are on time and correct
Following health and safety procedures

It is very important that the successful candidate is flexible and prepared to learn all aspects of the supply process to gain a full understanding of the products. Working with an experienced team is a very important aspect of the role.

Battery Components Ltd is a one stop shop for all forklift and lift truck battery components and accessories. The company have both national and global customers.

What you could go on to do:
Progress to an advanced apprenticeship in warehousing and storage level 3 or progress to other aspects of the business.

How you will be supported:
Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role combined with a structured in house training programme with the company.

What you should have to apply

The successful candidate will preferably have achieved GCSE Grade C (4-9) in maths and English. The company are looking to appoint an apprentice who has a good work ethic and can work flexibly and well in a small team.
