You will be involved in a range of project management activities linked to the STFC’s world leading science & technology projects that are managed at Daresbury.
You will learn core processes including scheduling, management of risks, as well as project assurance and financial management.
The apprentice will be part of a dynamic team, working on exciting projects in the field of Scientific Research. The apprentice will be expected to:
Support project managers to resolve any issues
Supporting project managers with the project activities such as reviewing budgets, managing risks, stakeholder management and progress chasing
Checking Project documentation
Project reporting, producing reports, spreadsheets etc
Project Administration and Monitoring
Supporting Project Management Boards
Organising and attending project meetings/minutes
Communicate with staff of all levels across departments as well as with external partners.
In return the apprentice will get an insight into how multi million pound projects are managed, they will receive mentoring from training project professionals as well as access to internal training courses.
Although there is no guarantee of a position at the end of the apprenticeship, this role will give the apprentice the skills required to take a career in project management further hopefully still at Daresbury Laboratory
The apprentice will have an internal network to support development and learning. Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Skills Company.
Year 1 £14,428 per annum
Year 2: £16,280 per annum
Monday – Friday 08:30–17:00 (Flexi Time, Year 2 only).
5 GCSEs (C or above) or equivalent, including English, Science, and Maths.

Working with a closely integrated small team, 4 days on 4 days off rota. 8am to 6pm day- 1 hour for lunch.<br>
We are looking for two apprentices to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working with a small dedicated Dairy farm team at The University of Liverpool's vet school.
The Victoria Gallery & Museum (VGM) houses the University of Liverpool's art & heritage collections. The Visitor Services Team are the first point of contact for visitors & you will assist in providing a helpful & knowledgeable service to the public.
